Orders and Special Cheesecake Giveaways

Whew! Imagine Cheesecake life is sweetly rolling along! I’m loving the busyness and the excitement of advertising my Cheesecakes. I also enjoy meeting new people who have a love for really good Cheesecake. Who knew there were so many Cheesecake lovers out there who will momentarily stop what they are doing to give a thumbs up over the mere mention of a cool, creamy, delicious slice of Cheesecake? Above all, I love simply making my Cheesecakes. Creating them and making them make me happy. Really.

I have received more orders – WOOHOO! – and am working in the test kitchen today, creating more awesome, one -of -a-kind Cheesecakes.

Yesterday was great! I got up with the purpose of giving away some Imagine Cheesecake slices. So, I became the Imagine Cheesecake Fairy, gifting slices of Imagine…Lemon and Vanilla Cheesecake to specific people I had promised Imagine Cheesecake “tastes” to and others that I didn’t make that promise to. Just spreading a little Imagine Cheesecake joy. I think I’ll periodically become the Imagine Cheesecake Fairy. I love surprising people with a “sweet treat”!

Sweet Social Networking!

It occurred to me recently, social networking is a cool thing.

A new acquaintance mentioned spending time each day networking for her business. She either networks by going to a meeting where she interacts with people face to face or she networks from her computer.

The wonderful thing about networking, the part that clicked is, networking from my home office on my computer can be just as effective as networking away from my office within a group of people. I hadn’t realized I network for Imagine Cheesecake each time I go into Facebook, inSide 919 and Twitter, among other online network groups I frequent.

I have had great opportunities to email, telephone and use quick chat to discuss Imagine Cheesecake with interested customers. It’s been fun getting to know other online networkers; learning what they do and, when possible, introducing them to others that can further them toward their business goals. Going out and meeting people one on one is fantastic, but I am finding staying in to network is pretty fantastic also.

First Cheesecake Order! (and How I Got Here…)

I received my FIRST Cheesecake order today! WOOHOO!

Hi. I’m the excited owner and baker of Imagine Cheesecake located in the wonderful town of Cary in North Carolina.

I have loved making cheesecakes for the past few years and have developed, over time, my own scrumptious recipes. Over this past summer, I approached a friend – a fellow southern Californian, who owns a local coffee shop. I asked if I could sample one of my cheesecakes out to his customers in return for their honest opinions of my kitchen craft. I left samples of my Plain Cheesecake. I was told, a few days later, that his sometimes finicky cheesecake customers LOVED it! My coffee shop owner friend loved it as well and asked if I would make cheesecakes for him to sell. Hmmm…thinking I’d better lay another sample on he and his customers – just in case they only liked my Plain Cheesecake, I told him I’d like to test another couple of cheesecakes on his finicky crowd and would talk with him after hearing how my next two did. My next two – my White Chocolate Cheesecake and my Spicy Pumpkin Cheesecake also got rave reviews.

Here I am now, a few weeks later. Company name has been created, business cards ordered and received, website up (although a new and MUCH better version is soon to come!), bank account opened…blah blah, yada yada…YIPPEE!

Lots of things planned for my Imagine Cheesecake fans, oh yes, there are! Holidays are just around the corner and I plan to be ready, cheesecakes in hand, for my customers.

The order received today is for 2 – 3 cheesecakes and will go to store owner, JG at our local coffee shop! I will meet with him this upcoming week to discuss our plan of a cheesecake tasting event, to be held in his coffee shop, in the next week or two. This will introduce more locals to me and my wonderful Imagine Cheesecake!
